The Rev. Anne HartleyMother Anne is a curate at St. Thomas, who assists Fr. Ryan with youth ministry and pastoral care. She is a brand new priest, ordained on Aug. 24, 2022 at St. Thomas'. She grew up mostly in the Boston area with three younger brothers, attending Sunday School and youth group at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Wayland, MA. Before she answered God's call to the priesthood, Rev. Anne did climate change research in the Swedish subarctic tundra and New Mexican Chihuahuan desert. She taught environmental science and civic engagement at FGCU. She introduced Godly Play at St. Mary's Bonita Springs and served as storyteller. Mother Anne has a daughter, Madeleine, who graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is doing a year-long residency in a ceramics studio in Massachusetts.
