Music at St Thomas’
Come let us sing to the Lord (Psalm 95:1) It was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord, and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the Lord, “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever” … the glory of the Lord filled the house of God. (2 Chronicles 5:13-14) … be filled with the spirit, as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,…singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks to God (Ephesians 5:19) Rejoice in the Lord always! (Philippians 4:4) _____ Music Ministry at St Thomas’ strives for excellence in singing, ringing, and playing as we worship God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. St Thomas is also the residence for the Tampa Bay Area community ensemble, Chorus Angelorum. For information on this group contact their website, https://chorusangelorumstpete.com . |
