The Rev. Martha E. Goodwill was ordained to the perpetual diaconate in December 2017 by Bishop Dabney Smith and has served in a non-stipendiary capacity since 2018 at St. Thomas’. Martha was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting Information Systems from the University of West Florida and is a CPA.
She loves gardening, crafting, thrifting and saving a buck here and there. She was instrumental in garnering a UTO grant in 2018 to start Benison Farm. Benison Farm is a partnership between two Episcopal churches, St. Augustine’s and St. Thomas’. The purpose of the farm is to provide fresh produce to south St. Petersburg and to engage a diverse group of people in serving the community.
Martha has a background in finance and accounting and served for nine years as the Director of Congregation Support and Education for the Diocese of Southwest Florida. She was also the Director of Accounting for the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, and currently works for Gulf Coast Community foundation as their Controller.
