Morning Prayer
Monday-Thursday, 9 AM, Chapel

We gather in our beautiful Chapel, Monday through Thursday at 9 AM, to begin our day together in prayer. We do so according to the Daily Office from the Book of Common Prayer (most of the time - Fr. Ryan likes to mix it up occasionally).

Morning Prayer takes about 20 minutes and includes scripture, traditional prayers, lessons about the saint whose feast day it is, occasionally a brief commentary on the lessons, and time to hold up  our own intercessions and thanksgivings.

Morning Prayer is one part of a four-fold structure of daily prayer called the Daily Office. It is a particular treasure of our Anglican heritage. If you'd like to learn more about its history or even how to pray it on your own at home, click the button below that says "The Daily Office Tutorial."

Want to Learn to Pray the Daily Office?

The Daily Office, or Daily Prayer, is a true treasure of Anglicanism, but it can be confusing to learn. Fr. Ryan (in a previous church) wrote this easy to follow, step-by-step guide for learning to pray all aspects of the Daily Office. Click the button below.

Cooler Weather?

In those blessed few cool months, we are sometimes gathered in our Outdoor Chapel for Morning Prayer. We may also be there in hurricane season if the power has been knocked out!
