Stewardship at St. Thomas
Stewardship is about being grateful, responsible stewards of the gifts we receive from God. The Episcopal Church sees stewardship as more than simply contributing money to the church; it’s also about contributing time and talents and volunteering for ministry and mission. It’s about reaching out to build relationships from a perspective of abundance instead of scarcity.
Stewardship of TimeOur time is a precious gift. Most of us feel we don't have enough time for all the things we want to do. The stewardship of time can include making time for prayer, reading the Bible, and attending church. It can also involve giving time to the church’s ministries, assisting individuals and organizations in the community.
Upcoming EventsOn March 1st, 2025, the big stewardship event will be a Mardi Gras party.
For more information about getting involved please contact the Stewardship Committee's chair Linda Sordan at [email protected]. |
Stewardship of TreasureThroughout Scripture, we are taught to give God our "first fruits" or the "choicest portion.“ Giving generously not only supports the mission of the church in our community, it can be an expression of gratitude, trust, and increasing joy in our relationship with God.

Stewardship of TalentWe are all blessed with special talents and gifts from God. They are entrusted to us for the enrichment of the lives of others in order for us to better serve God. At St. Thomas, there are a variety of ministries that tap into the many talents of our congregation that help serve our community and God's Church. When we serve together, we not only form friendships with one another, but we also deepen our relationship with God.
