Organist / Choir Director Search

St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, a vibrant, program-size church of about 600 members in picturesque St. Petersburg, Fla., seeks a full-time organist and choir director to grow its dynamic music ministry.

A Little About Ourselves

We believe that each sacrament can be available to all persons, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, or other classification and that the Nicene and Apostles’ creeds are the sufficient statement of our faith. All are welcome, invited, and encouraged to be a part of this loving community.

The ideal applicant holds credentials in music and a thorough understanding of choral music and its role in the Episcopal liturgy. We desire a consummate organist, service player, and conductor possessing superior skills in worship planning, hymn playing, liturgical improvisation, solo organ repertory, and choral conducting and accompaniment.

We are part of the Diocese of Southwest Florida, which is a part of the Episcopal Church, which in turn is a part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. Our location in the Tampa Bay area of the west coast of Florida places us in a burgeoning area of the state where arts and creative pursuits flourish. Our region is home to several institutions of higher learning, vigorous artistic communities, and world-class museums, and is a haven for creatives in the state of Florida.
